IARC-JAXA Workshop 2006

IARC-JAXA Workshop 2006 was held at International Arctic Research Center, UAF, Fairbanks, USA on March 6-8, 2006. The theme was "Advancing Science and Technology in Arctic Climate Change Research." The first day and second day of the workshop were devoted to presentations of the latest global change issues and research projects (oral and posters). The presentations included overviews of the International Ocean Drilling Project by JAMSTEC and of IARC-JAXA research funded by JAXA. The Geophysical Institute Auditorium was the location for the first day's presentations. A reception with sixty participants was also taken place in the evening of the first day. On the final day of the workshop the IARC-JAXA Information System (IJIS) hardware and software were introduced. The participants enjoyed IJIS demonstrations and afterward discussed further improvements to the system.
